Prayer Shawl Ministry

FUMC-Grandview has started a new Prayer Shawl Ministry. The first Sunday, July 7th, we gave out 2 prayer shawls: one to a lady who has pancreatic cancer and another to a church member who will under go knee replacement surgery later this month. Each member of the church paused as they returned to their pews from the communion rail to lay their hands on the shawls and say a prayer for each recipient. We hope that these shawls will bring comfort in their time of healing as they are wrapped in the warmth of the shawl and the prayers of the congregation and the arms of Our Lord.
