Ladies Tea for Heart Havens

Our UMW sponsored a Tea for 61 church ladies and friends to benefit Heart Havens.  The tea was free but a donation jar was on each beautifully decorated table.  Eleven of our ladies brought china, crystal and silverware from home and each table was unique.  We collected $400!  The History of the Tea and Tea Manners was presented before going to the buffet table which was lined with scones, jams, English Luxury Cream, muffins, assorted sandwiches and assorted sweets.  No one went away hungry.  After a beautiful solo by one of our choir members, Mrs. Frances Usher of Heart Havens presented a program and took questions.   It was a wonderful afternoon.  Checkout the pictures on our facebook page at www.facebook.com/phoebusumc.
