Good Morning.
I am truly grateful for this snow day. However, Nathan, who prayed on Friday night not to have a snow day, was rather upset. This led us to a conversation that sometimes what we want is different from God’s plan. Which I explained to Nathan, was to keep children and school employees warm and safe. This was an opportunity for both Nathan and I to grow in our faith.
I hope that throughout the next few weeks, we as a growth group, have many opportunities to focus on how we can grow our faith. Personally, after I had the idea for our games group, I started to panic and wished I hadn’t volunteered to be a facilitator. I expressed my worries to Pastor Charity, who sent me a reassuring e-mail that reminded me that if it is in God’s plan, it will happen, and if not, we will be ready for the next opportunity.
That being said, I am so glad our group has formed. People came who were tired from working all week! I saw kids play games they had never played and win! I saw people from St. Luke’s meet for the first time. People brought guests. We had visitors from Renaissance who enjoyed themselves. And I hope they come join us again!
I did neglect to bring up one item. As a group, we are supposed to support one another in prayer. It can be prayer for ourselves or prayer for others. If you have special prayers this week, please e-mail them to me and I will share them with our group. I will make time for us to form a prayer list this coming Friday.
Feel free to brings games we can play and snacks to eat next week. Thank you again for being part of Games Galore!
Blessings,
