Volunteer BBQ

We just had our annual Volunteer BBQ.  Here the staff supplies the food and cooks and feeds the volunteers.  This year we had a dessert baking contest - staff excluded, and a staff hola hoop contest.  Staff judged the desserts and the volunteers judged the hola hooping.  All enjoyed themselves and every scrap of food was consumed.  The best part was on the Sunday after.  There were a lot of volunteers encouraging and congratulating each other over the desserts and sharing recipies back and forth with laughter at remembering how the staff faired during the hola hoop contest.  Whenever "connection" occurs you will find vital signs of a healthy and growning church.
