"Feeding the Lambs", our mission project WIN!

We have a weekend backpack feeding program for our local elementary school, which did a few wonderful things. First, several of the small churches around our elementary school came together for the first time ever to help hungry children. In our own congregation, we've found that the youth and the families with teenagers are particularly involved in this project. We have several people who don't attend worship decide to be an ongoing part of this mission team, finding the food and preparing the bags.  We also have kids who need community service hours, which exposes them to what a church can do. This kind of project has been a WIN in so many ways!!
