Sharing what went on Dec 2019 til present. In December, we performed a cantata together with Apalachee UMC at Bishop UMC. This is our third year we have combined the 2 choirs and  invited the community to share with us in this celebration. Also having a time of fellowship and food., Bishop Baptist Church also came to the evening celebrations. We also attended a Christmas Eve Service at Bishop Baptist. The pastor of Apalachee was Barbara Ulrich who participated all 3 years, also gracing us with song in sign language.  She went to be with the Lord in May during the Covid. We will miss her!                                                                                    One of our community wide events that was started just a few weeks before the pandemic was door to door ministry. This has been my heart since I first came,  that God has called us to share the love of Christ with every person in Bishop. The people of the church were getting excited about how God was moving among us .Realizing that THEY ( BISHOP ) are loved and valued and that God has a purpose for us! We spent sat afternoon going down one street for several hours. We took a decorative bag with treats, a cross,  booklet of how to know God ( 4 spiritual laws ) kleenex and pamplet abt our church. We ask to pray with them and every one opened up and shared a request. we were able to even circle up and hold hands with a few. I believe as God is showing us different ways to do church during this time...we are  being changed and will see fruit!                                                                                                                                                                                               In June 2020, one of our member's brother passed away from the coronavirus. His family lived in our community. We ministered to them providing food, prayers and loving support. Also, We have provided food for all the healthcare workers in an assisted living place in which one of our members is the administraor. Prayer for and blessing the nurses in our church with flower arrangements.  recently providing food and other things for folks in our church who recently had the virus. Also blessing a newcomer with financial help who visited our church as a result of our outreach....To Be Contiued as we move forward into all the new ways God shows us to be the Church during this season.    Before all this started we were trying to think of ways to minister to the leaders/shop owners in our community. God had begun opening a few doors there. We must try for different approaches during the virus. As some folks are fearful and wanting to keep a safe distance. We are continuing  to find new ways to reach people.
