"doing church"

Like the magi, a caravan of people – 10 in all – traveled across Ohio as the snow glistened in the moonlight. The group went to be in support of fellow parishioners who in the middle of the joy of Christmas and hope for a new year, were saying goodbye to her 81 year old mother who died on Friday.  Yes, ministry happens when you give of yourself to another….when you show up. Sure we worshipped on Sunday morning, but last night was church.
