Vacation Bible School Impact

We are now through day three of Vacation Bible School and it has been such a joy to see all of the children here each day.  This is a long and stressful process to plan for over 400 children this week, but there are always moments each week when something happens that reminds me of why this is so important.  A mom approached me on night two of the evening session and told me she had a story to tell me.  Her son had fallen earlier in the day and skinned his knee.  A sibling ran to tell the mom and she went out to check on her child.  She asked him if he was okay and his response was, "Mom, it hurt really bad...but then I just prayed to God and it was all better!"  The mom told me her son had never said anything like this before, so she was confident it was something he learned at VBS.  This is why VBS is so important.  The message we are sharing with these children is something that will help them build a relationship with God that will hopefully last them a lifetime.  Thank you to the 160 volunteers who are here this week helping with this ministry to our children.
