Homebound Communion

You never know when the Spirit of the Lord just might call you into action.  At Couts, our Mission Statement is to "Go West" Go  Welcome, Equip, Serve, and Transform.  This was one Transformation, for sure.   Each month Sunday School Classes take turns taking communion to our homebound members. Last Sunday a couple from one of our classes was praying with and sharing communion with one of our members and another resident at the assisted living center asked if she could take communion, as well.  They prayed with her, read some liturgy and served her communion.  One of the nurses asked  "What is Communion?"  This couple explained to this nurse who Jesus was and why Christians take communion. After some discussion and prayer,  they asked her if she would like to accept Christ as her personal Savior and.....another child of God was added to the Kingdom.
