Women's Retreat

Attica UMC offered their first women's retreat, Fill My Cup, Lord, this past Saturday, May 3. Twenty-two women attended from Attica Anthony, Cheney, Zenda, Oxford and Salina. Each woman brought their own cup/mug from home and used it as a symbol for their spiritual life  They learned about the boundaries of the cup and the need for personal boundaries, how the cup is open and ready to receive and we need to be open and ready, and how sorrow and joy can both exist in the same cup [life] at the same time.  An unexpected and wonderful reconciliation also happened at this event  between two women who had a falling out a number of years ago. God was very present with this group that day!  The Attica UMC pastor, Rev, Billie Blair, was the facilitator for the day.
