Andover Community Foodbank

Better Together: The Andover Community Foodbank, which is housed in the Andover UMC has seen a dramatic increase in clients over the last 18 months. With this increased need, it has been difficult to keep the shelves stocked. The Foodbank Taskforce reached out to Boy Scout Troop 533, which is chartered by the church and asked for their assistance, and the troop responded. First, they invited the Girl Scouts to also help. Second, they went to the local Dillon’s Grocery and solicited donations from customers on a Saturday and Sunday . The result: approximate 1500 lbs of food donated, and $583 in cash donations!! This won’t meet all the need, but it will be a great help.
