Dalark's love of children and their study of all about Jesus - willingness to help others in missions and outreach.

Dalark has become mission oriented (may have before I was appointed, but can really see an increase in their mission & outreach attitudes.)  We are entering in an outreach and mission opportunity in giving food boxes to the needy.  The children will be starting a noisy offering soon to collect change so they can donate to a mission after knowing why they are donating, where the money goes and exactly what it is for. After discussion and knowelge of what, where and how much the children "vote" on the mission they wish to donate to.  They donate after a year of collecting from the congregation.  They collect after the chilren's sermon for one year.. This is an opportunity to teach the children the importance of giving and why; also about outreach.  They are having VBS this summer and a camp meeting.  I am looking forward to a Christmas Nativity with the children of Dalark and Sparkman.
