God at work during a hot summer at Oak Grove UMC

We are in the middle of a sermon series titled "Come Thirsty" in which we are focused on the ways we are "thirsty" for God's leading.  Since the temps have been in/over the 100 degree mark this has been a great series.  We have been giving bottled water each Sunday.  Our VBS focus was "Amazing Desert Journey:  Jesus leads us home" so that has fit in perfectly as well as the VBS mission project has been to collect money for  Hydra aid water filters for Haiti.  To be a church with an average worship attendance of 100 we have collected over $800.00.  Jesus leads us onward!
