Milroy UMC Provides School Supplies to Local Elementary School

In addition to blessing the backpacks of the students in our congregation, and the students and teachers of the congregation and community, Milroy UMC decided address those in need at the local elementary school. So rather than making assumptions, we contacted Milroy Elementary School and asked them what they wanted and needed from their list of school supplies. They sent back a list of supplies where they particularly could use additional quantities. The congregation stepped forward, and brought in supplies as well as donating funds to buy additional supplies. These items, along with those who would be using them, were blessed by the congregation during Sunday services on August 17; and they were taken to the school during the following week. We'll provide a picture of the school supplies separately.
