Saint Paul has partnered with Caring Hands Ministries and other Community Partners to gather school supplies, clothes and provide haircuts to those in need. This year again we served 700+ people. We were running low on clothing this year and sent an appeal to the community. People showed up even the day of the event August 2nd with clothes. Some of the people receiving items brought clothing their children outgrew to share with others. Office Depot provided 250 sack packs, Yellow Creek Community Club had a 5k Walk 10k Run in the spring and raised $ 700 dollars. This week our neighbors at Bethel UMC sent $ 200. Moss Robertson Automotive collected supplies and clothes. Caring Hands through grants from Americans Helping Americans had new shoes, Hygiene Kits, Diapers and Laundry Soap. At the end of the day we were tired and amazed because I think there were more than 12 Basketfuls left over!
