Pastoral Ministry

The new Pastor is having a great time getting to know her congregation and local surroundings. A proposal for a Christ Centered After School Program, 'On Eagles Wings', for community children, ages 6-12 years old, to be held in the Fellowship Hall has been written. Church members are actively working on Program details. This program will not only offer the community needed assistance but has begun to guide the congregation into a journey of making disciples for Jesus Christ. Plans are also being made for Homecoming Sunday to be held in September. On this day the congregation will join together for fellowship, food, and discussion to plan for the coming year. Talk will be center on 'RETHINK CHURCH' and how we can make Woodrow UMC grow, be more vital and engage the world through our faith.

On July 29th, the fifth Sunday of the month, Lay leaders conducted the Worship Service serving as the Worship Leader and preaching the Sermon. In performing .this service their faith strengthened and the congregation was moved.
