Serving the Carnival Workers

Our church is located across from the city park where the annual community fair is held every summer. On August 6, during our community fair, for the past 10 years we serve a meal to the carnival workers cooking homemade food served on "real" plates, cups, and silverware with table cloths and flowers on the tables. Youth and adults serve the food and pour drinks while others in our church offer massages and take blood pressure. During Vacation Bible School, one of the stations children participate in every year is a focus on local missions including packing a care package/ hygiene kit given out to each carnival worker. Free t-shirts and Bibles are also offered, for them to take if they want. It's an awesome ministry showing extravagant generosity.
