Going Beyond the 4 Walls

Throughout the summer months Embury jumpstarted its Street Ministry. With this ministry members gathered together on Saturday mornings to have morning prayer and then in pairs or small groups became 'fishermen and women for souls'. We would walk the streets of Jamaica Ave and the neighboring communities and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ by handing out tracks, through prayer and words of encouragement throughout our church community. The Street Ministry has revealed God's presence in our congregation by stirring up the gifts that are within many of us, given us several testimonies to share with our brothers and sisters in Christ and once again our fire for Jesus HAS BEEN IGNITED and we are compelled to compel others to come to Jesus because He is the TRUTH AND THE LIGHT of our lives.
