Many in our congregation and from other churches were in outreach to those in need in our local communites via a food and coat distribtion while others filled gift bags to give to residents at the nursing home. A small group wrote letters to military personnel while another group went to assisted living communities to serve Holy Communion and visit. It was a beautiful day to prepare the site for our local annual passion drama, "His Last Days" where hundreds of folks from near and far relive the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Some of our handier-men repaired roofs on two homes for the residents who could not afford to do it themselves. Prayer shawls were made and handed out to the homebound and another fun loving group wrapped shoeboxes in Christmas wrapping paper for the first stage of Operation Christmas Child. All of these servants of the most High worked filled with his Holy Spirit during their labors. Several of them stood up and shared their God-Sightings as part of the sermon on Sunday. It was a blessed event and we hope to make every day a Great Day of Service here in Rabun County.
