Congregation gathers to support grieving families

One of our music leaders lost 2 family members in a tragic plane crash last week.   The congregation has rallied to support the family, praying with them in worship and reachign out to them in other ways.   At the same time, we are reaching out to a young family with 3 children whose father is being deployed to Afghanistan beginning next week.  Ladies in the congregation have offered to bring a small group bible study to their home to provide fellowship and support for her while her husband is deployed.   Others have offered support to this young wife and mother in her role as support coordinator for 3 dozen families in her husband's unit while they are deployed.  Offers of homecooked meals, babysitting, and minor home repairs have come in.
