Participation in "BIG GIVE"

CUMC Outreach encoraged patricipation of youth and congregation for this event.  Approximately 17 local churches have come together,now in the sixth year, to offer holiday assistance to area needy. Donations are taken all year.  The event day Sat. 8th. held at local Expo Hall from 6 am to late afternoon, hotdog lunch included.  8,000 to 10,000 people came to hear a Devotional service and then shop for holiday and general needs. Each shopper is given a larges size trash bag to fill with their choice of items.Our congrgation embraced the donation of items very generously.  15 volunteers, including youth did work this event.  Plans are to be involcved again next year. No fee required from any shopper for this day
