renewal of baptism

Today is the celebration of Jesus' baptism and the renewal of ours. As we read our baptism vows I could certainly feel God's presence as the Holy Spirit made himself known inside me. What a wonderful filling!! Pastor Jennifer had a beautiful glass bowl with shells under the water, for us to dip our fingers in and to pull a shell out to keep and reflect on. This was a big help also because I have a young foster daughter who has not been baptised yet and I wasn't sure how to let her experience the service, but  the pastor suggested she put her hand in and dump the water out of the shell and keep it. So even she could participate and understand, meant a lot to her. Very moving service.
