Looking for God today

Our church sits on a backroad that had not been cleaned yet, so out of concern for our congration, church services were cancelled.  But it's God's day, so we set off for the closest church, New Hope Baptist in Danieltown. As luck would have they had a heat problem,  but had decided to hold services in the community building next door.  The Pastor had figured on just a few making it in so had put aside his message and decided to wing it !!! Guess what? God showed up!! by the time the singing started they were digging out more and more chairs!!  somewhere around 50 people from a collection of 3 churches!!  Lots of good favorite hymns and a young lady did a reading for kids time and even had communion enough for everybody!!  the Pastor talked on something he is getting ready to start classes on, " Praying God's Promises."  It was not hard to tell he was on fire for the subject!!   I can tell you  the Holy Spirit was there in a personal way!!  The Lord took a snow day and  turned it into  such a great fellowship!  Wow!!  Everyday he teaches me to keep my heart open to his opportunities!! Thank New Hope for welcoming in anybody and everybody and sharing such a joy!!
