Palm/Passion Sunday

Our service began with palm waving children shouting hosannas as they entered the sanctuary. The three to seven year olds also shared their Sunday school lessons through drama with the congregation. It was a wonderful overview of the ministry of Jesus before the entry in Jerusalem.

We have had a series of Lenten sketches. Rich, the Jerusalem Parcel Service driver has been attempting to deliver the cross to various disciples of Jesus. All have had excuses for why they would not accept the cross, no time, no money, denial of knowing Jesus…

 On Palm Sunday Jesus accepted the cross. It was a powerful moment, as Jesus spoke of the days to come, Holy Week, and existed with the cross braced upon his shoulder.
