How have you seen God's presence in your congregation?

This week we observed Holy Thursday.  The footwashing service was truly a blessing.  Of the participants reflections after the service, there were 2 teenage boys who had very powerful testimonies of their experience.  One of them was reluctant to participate, but did agree to let his mother wash his feet.  He was so humbled as he heard his mother talk to him while she washed his feet. She shared what a blessing it has been to raise him, to pray for him and to share how God loves him and wants the best for him.  It was a powerful demonstration of what God can do in our lives if we will just open ourselves to him. I believe this experience will be one that this young man, his mother and the church will never forget.  The other teenager was so  overjoyed that he shared how he loves his mother and others in the church.  He asked the church to pray for him.  Their testimonies were so moving that I don't believe there was a dry eye in the church.  I believe that service brought people closer and I thank God for that.
