Horatio & Winthrop UMC in Arkansas

We have been blessed to see the power of the Holy Spirit changing lives in both churches! Recently I felt compelled by the Spirit to give both congregations a special opportunity to profess Christ as Savior, transfer from another curch or to present infants for baptism. I put an insert in the bulletin explaining a little about each one and gave them six weeks to pray about how God would have them respond. I called this Sunday,"No Hassle Sunday". The response was truly a work of the Spirit. At Winthrop we had five join by transfer of letter, two professions of faith and one infant baptism. There are six other persons that are considering joining and three of those would be by profession of faith. At Horatio there were four persons join by transfer of letter, one profession of faith and one re-dedication. There are two families with infant children that are considering infant baptism. It is truly a blessing to serve in these churches and tto see evidence of the work of the Holy Spirit!
