Summer Lunch Program Packing Party a big success

The Summer Lunch Program ministry helps feed local Andover children during the summer months who might otherwise go hungry. Andover UMC gives out sacks of non-perishable food items to children at three different locations every week throughout the summer. The need has been great this summer especially. All 250 of the sacks that were prepared in May were given out by the end of June. So volunteers were asked to come again and pack more lunches. There was such a great turnout that 17 people packed 180 sacks in 37 minutes! Just another way AUMC members are making a difference in the community.
