Supporting our teachers!

First United Methodist Church - Harlingen has a Backpack Ministry to three local schools, totaling 75 children weekly. To show our support during teacher in-service we served 75 teachers/personnel at Stuart Place Elementary School; 45 teachers/personnel at Bowie Elementary School and our newest school Travis Elementary we served 65 teachers/personnel. They were provided fruit trays, breakfast breads, sweet rolls, sausage/egg casseroles, juice, coffee and water by our church members.
