From death to life: resurrection is happening as Swords UMC

Praise God.  Over the past two months the Swords congregation has gone from pessimistic despair over the prospect of the church being discontinued to one of grace filled gratitude over the fact that God in Jesus Christ is turning things around,  Our average worship attendance has increased from 6 to 14 which is more than a 100% increase.  Our offerings have also increased by the same the same percentage.  In abject humility we decided to radically trust our plight to the grace of God taking some radical measures one of which is this: the old, traditional ways of doing things in the church doesn't work anymore in the present generation.  God is leading us to do new things.  We are trying these things with fear and trepidation, but they are paying off.  Thanks be to God.
