Community of Faith Mission Homeless Shelter

New Town UMC hosted the homeless in our area for a one week period beginning Sunday, November 24th through Sunday, December 1st.  We hosted between 10 to12 people nightly serving breakfast and dinner daily and provided sleeping accommodations in our Sanctuary.  In addition we served a traditional Thanksgiving Day meal to our guests and those in our community who wanted to share a holiday meal with others.  New Town is one of 15 churches that provide shelter for a one week period from November through March.  It was a very rewarding outreach event.
