Cookies and Caroling

This past Sunday, December 15, our congregation served plates of cookies to our local shut ins.  Many from the congregation donated plates of cookies which were distributed to our shut ins.  This act of love continues to connect those who are unable to attend church with our congregation.  It is such a sight to see the eyes of people light up when they realize that the fellowship of God has not forgotten them and continues to care and pray for them.  In addition, about 15 people, some of whom had helped with the cookies, also went caroling at our two nursing homes, Trego Manor and our hospital's Long Term Care facility.  We spent near half an hour at each location and sang to the residents while they ate dinner.  All the residents loved it and were happy to have such joy brought to them.  It was a miraculous sight.
