Despite the impending blizzard that was about to strike Sunday morning, we felt we could squeeze in a worship service before it really started hitting, and so we did. It was good that we held church- despite the fact that our music team was absent and Pastor Mike had to lead the congregation with the ukelele on some praise songs and acapella on some hymns, we still had a decent crowd considering- 53! Included in that were three new families who just started attending in the last few weeks. Some said they just had to come and start their new year at church. We worshiped and we celebrated the Lord's Supper together. It was a great day with a great lesson: when you face a big storm- be it weather or in life itself- it's great to start off the week with the One who calms the storm. Praises and thanks be to Jesus!
