This week was both challenging for our church and community and a blessing.  We had our usual Holy week events which took place but we also said good bye to three members of our church and faith community.  Grace was shown to the family even though for one family their loved one had been absent from the church for a number of years.  The gatherings were attended by a good representation of those who belong to different denominations as well as the business and those who do not attend church.  The families were loved and comforted and the presence of God was evident.

The sunrise service was well attended with 34 coming from both the Hay Springs and Rushville communities.  The morning was a beautiful gift of sunshine and light breezes and a smattering of deer, birds, rabbits, and the smells of early spring.  God is truly Good!

Lastly, the communities of Hay Springs and Rushville have been very gracious in knowing that my wife and I are being sent to another mission field.  It is good to see how God has worked in the hearts of so many even if they do not belong to the church in the two communities.  It is good to see how God can change the hearts of so many for good and unity of faith.  Maybe it is in our leaving, but the working of the Lord has been evident to my wife and I in a very positive and meaningful way.
