Teens Request Baptism and Lead Worship

April 1, 2012 Four teens initiated requests for baptism which the congregation celebrated on Palm Sunday.  One teen, born in Russia, asked her adoptive older brother to be her sponsor as they were baptised together.  All were servers for Holy Communion and distributed palms.  They are encouraging their families to participate in worship.  

April 8, 2012 Teens and Pastor led the 7:30am Easter Vigil and Procession with 84 worshippers.  We staged a procession from the outdoor cross, to the church doors as the tomb entrance, knocked and shouted Christ is Risen which opened the doors, and a teen with a Christ Candle led us into the sanctuary as the garden of resurrection. The teens offered prayers and meditations.  We celebrated the Love Feast.  We sang the Halle Halle and danced to this Caribbean style Allelulia.  What a joy to see old and young sing and swing together!
