81 Early Risers--

Wesley partnered with Poder y Gloria, a Hispanic congregation, for sunrise service outside in the parking lot.  We had eighty-one in attendance for sunrise service.  This is the most that Wesley has seen in many many years.  We blended our service with English and Spanish hymnsand contemporary songs.  The Pastor of Poder y Gloria was the worship leader and spoke only spanish.  Our Pastor delivered the message and served Holy Communion in English. By the end of the service we did not need an interpreter, everyone was worshiping in their own language.  It has seemed, for a brief moment, we had become an Acts 2 congregation. It was awesome to behold.  After worship service the United Methodist Men served breakfast.  Jesus multiplied the food and everyone was celebrating with singing and joyous sounds throughout the parking lot long time after we officially finished.  It was a glorious time.  A youth from Poder y Gloria stated that this was the best service he had attended and one of our senior adults voiced that she was very excited and overjoyed at the end of the service and we needed to do more outreach like this!
